 Asepsystems Continuous Turbulent Thin Film Evaporator, standard from 4.5 till 18 m2 of heat exchanging surface for high viscous product.

The “Turbulent Thin Film Evaporator” is a high efficiency evaporator, suitable for all the thermal sensitive products (low running temperatures and retention time) and for all very high consistency products (high mechanical performances). It can be used as single effect evaporator, self running or as “finisher” of multiple stages evaporator, but also in double or triple effects (with falling film or forced circulation pre-concentrators). Our standard Turbulent Thin Film evaporator, as finisher is done in multiple sections, each section have 4.6 m2 of heating surface and can evaporate 832 kg/h of water. The heat exchanger is vertical and the product is distributed in a thin film on the internal surface. No. 4 knives, rotating through an axial shaft, close to the heating surface, are producing a turbulent thin film, and the product flow from the top to the bottom and reach the desired concentration in few seconds. The water evaporated flow from the bottom to the top of the evaporator is sucked from the vacuum and in case of multiple effects the vapour is heating the next effect heat exchanger. In case of single effect the evaporated water is going directly to the condenser.

The main components of the evaporator are:

• Tube in tube heat exchanger;
• Rotor with No. 4 knives;
• Electrical motor with gear box and electronic speed variation.

To complete the evaporator:

• Condenser;
• Vacuum system;
• Control panel.
